A Day in Honor of Command Chief Master Sergeant Pieters
WHEREAS, Command Chief Master Sergeant Cameron M. Pieters has honorably served the State of Nevada and the United States of America with over 34 years of exceptional meritorious service to the United States Air Force and the National Guard; and;
WHEREAS, his extraordinary career culminated in serving as the fifth Command Senior Enlisted Leader of the Nevada National Guard, where his exemplary leadership, strategic vision, and unwavering dedication significantly enhanced the readiness, morale, and welfare of the enlisted force; and;
WHEREAS, Command Chief Master Sergeant Pieters' career encompassed multiple assignments and deployments, demonstrating his steadfast commitment to the Nation, the mission, and the soldiers, airmen, and civilians he advised, while working in direct partnership with the Adjutant General to prioritize readiness, resilience, and a culture of excellence; and;
WHEREAS, he consistently mentored and guided senior noncommissioned officers and enlisted personnel, raising the standards of professional development and mission readiness throughout the Nevada National Guard, and strengthening allied relationships with partner nations Fiji, Tonga, and Samoa to counter peer competitors; and;
WHEREAS, his distinguished service as an Evaluator and Instructor Flight Engineer included more than 3,600 flight hours in the C-130 aircraft- 890 of which were flown in combat - across 316 combat support missions, alongside vital contributions to domestic operations such as border security, disaster relief, and aerial firefighting with over 70 retardant drops; and;
WHEREAS, Command Chief Master Sergeant Pieters' tireless efforts in building relationships with community leaders, allied nations, and other military branches have furthered national security interests and elevated the standing of the Nevada National Guard on the global stage; and;
WHEREAS, his legacy of leadership, service, and commitment to excellence will continue to inspire future generations of airmen, soldiers, and public servants. On behalf of all Nevadans, we extend our sincere thanks and gratitude for his over 34 years of professional excellence, selfless service, and commitment to our state. We extend our best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;
