A Day in Honor of Nickolas Flickinger

WHEREAS, Nickolas Flickinger is a dedicated and exceptional public servant who has diligently contributed almost 30 years of outstanding service to the State of Nevada; and;

WHEREAS, Nickolas served the Division of Social Services (DSS) with dedication and commitment, providing quality service and needed benefits to individuals, families, and persons with disabilities in the State of Nevada, and is commended for a job well done; and;

WHEREAS, Nickolas has provided valuable service and leadership to the DSS Project Management Office, participating in and leading project management and testing efforts for the NVKIDS Project, where he provided critical operational stability through bug fixes and system testing; and;

WHEREAS, Nickolas has continued to be proactive and dedicated, overseeing DSS release management coordination and supervising the Project Delivery Team for numerous projects designed to meet agency goals and objectives within the DSS Project Management Office; and;

WHEREAS, Nickolas's contributions have made a lasting impact on his colleagues, customers, and the broader Nevada community through his commitment to service, attention to detail, and compassionate approach to helping others; and;

WHEREAS, his colleagues, friends, and co-workers deeply appreciate the dedication, knowledge, and kindness Nickolas Flickinger has brought to the workplace, and he will be sincerely missed by all who had the privilege of working alongside him; and;

WHEREAS, during his many years of service, Nickolas has worked under six Governors - Bob Miller, Kenny Guinn, Jim Gibbons, Brian Sandoval, Steve Sisolak and Joe Lombardo; and;

WHEREAS, during his 30 years of service, Nickolas has worked under six Governors - Bob Miller, Kenny Guinn, Jim Gibbons, Brian Sandoval, Steve Sisolak and Joe Lombardo; and;

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada and the Division of Social Services give Nickolas our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for his many years of commitment and excellence and extend our best wishes for a happy, healthy, and fulfilling retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim January 30, 2026, as a day in honor of
