A Day in Honor of Tiffany O’Neal

State of Nevada, Executive Department- A proclamation by the governor

WHEREAS, on August 1, 2025, Tiffany O'Neal is retiring from the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services after 28 years of loyal, diligent, and exceptional public service to the State of Nevada; and;

WHEREAS, Tiffany began her professional career with the State of Nevada on July 21, 1997, as a Management Assistant 2 with Division of Welfare and Supportive Services in the Henderson District Office. Tiffany was promoted to Eligibility Certification Specialist I and upon successful completion of her probationary period was promoted to the position of Eligibility Certification Specialist II now titled Family Services Specialist, Family Services Supervisor, and Social Services Manager; and;

WHEREAS, Tiffany has served under six Nevada Governors, Bob Miller, Kenny Guinn, Jim Gibbons, Brian Sandoval, Steve Sisolak, and Joe Lombardo, as well as eight Welfare Administrators, Myla C. Florence, Michael Willden, Nancy K. Ford, Romaine Gilliland, Diane Comeaux, Michael McMahon, Steve Fisher, and Robert Thompson; and;

WHEREAS, Tiffany's quest for excellence in her work and her dynamic work ethic set an example for all who had the opportunity to work with her. Her passion for Employment and Training helped Nevadans find employment and educational opportunities to lay foundations for future career paths; and;

WHEREAS, Tiffany takes great pride in having successfully filled the position of Social Services Manager 2, Social Services Manager 4, and Certified Public Manager for the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services; and;

WHEREAS, Tiffany was one of the inaugural members of the former Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee; and during COVID-19, she served as a member of the first interagency collaborative efforts team working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation; and;

WHEREAS, Tiffany displayed exceptional commitment and dedication throughout her years of service to the State of Nevada, making her a valuable civil servant and advocate for the citizens of this state. Through her service to her fellow citizens, she is able to leave her position with dignity knowing that she has made a difference in our community and agency; and;

WHEREAS, the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services and the State of Nevada expresses sincere thanks and gratitude to Tiffany O’Neal for her 28 years of excellent service. We extend our best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim August 1, 2025, as a day in honor of
