A Day in Honor of Debbie Bowman

WHEREAS, on October 14, 1996, Debbie Bowman began her dedicated career in public service with the Department of Motor Vehicles and Public Safety, bringing with her a strong work ethic, a kind heart, and a commitment to excellence that would carry through every step of her career; and;

WHEREAS, over the years, Debbie has served with distinction in several key state agencies including the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation, Aging and Disability Services, State Public Charter School Authority, and most recently, the Secretary of State's Office, leaving her mark through unwavering dedication, leadership, and integrity; and;

WHEREAS, she has worn many hats along the way, from Accounting Assistant and Accountant Technician to Management Analyst, and ultimately rising to serve as Deputy Secretary of State for Operations, a role in which she led with vision, steadiness, and a heart; and;

WHEREAS, Debbie's colleagues have long admired her for her calm under pressure, her ability to solve problems with grace, and her genuine care for the people she worked with and served; and;

WHEREAS, her leadership, institutional knowledge, and steady presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the systems she helped build, the teams she strengthened, and the people she inspired; and;

WHEREAS, Debbie has not only given her time and talent to the State of Nevada for nearly three decades, but she has done so with so much humility, kindness, and dedication; and;

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada recognizes and honors Debbie Bowman for her outstanding years of dedicated public service, and we thank her for a career that has made a difference in so many lives. May her next chapter be filled with joy, relaxation, and the same sense of purpose she brought to every day of her service; and;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim July 7, 2025, as a day in honor of
