ELIZABETH JAYNE GEORGE

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Jayne George is retiring from the Department of Employment Training and Rehabilitation, on June 23, 2023 after 28 years of loyal, diligent, and exceptional public service to the State of Nevada; and;

WHEREAS, Jayne began her State Service in January 1995 as a Workmans Compensation Tech I, and came to DETR in October 2000 as a Contributions Examiner; she has continued to progress through several positions of increasing responsibility within the agency including Field Investigations and Supervisor of the Unemployment Insurance Support Services; and;

WHEREAS, throughout her career, Jayne has demonstrated dedication, commitment, and willingness to improve processes within Contributions and UISS; and;

WHEREAS, all those long days of hard work, have earned Jayne the right to enjoy many years of fulfilling retirement; and;

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada and the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation, as well as its employees and customers extend to Elizabeth Jayne George sincere thanks and gratitude for her 28 years of commitment to excellence and service to the citizens of the Silver State; and;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim June 23, 2023 as a day in honor of
