Flag will fly at full staff for Inauguration of President-Elect Donald J. Trump

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada is proud to join in celebrating the inauguration of President-Elect Donald J. Trump; and;

WHEREAS, , Inauguration Day has, for centuries, been a time when the American People join together to welcome a new era of leadership and opportunity; and;

WHEREAS, , this Inauguration Day, leaders from across the United States have made clear that it is in the best interest of our citizens to raise the flag to full-staff to celebrate the inauguration of our new President; and;

WHEREAS, , in accordance with Speaker Johnson’s decision to raise the flags at the nation’s Capitol to fly at full-staff for inauguration day;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim that:

The United States flag shall be lowered to half-staff after inauguration day to continue the Period of Mourning in effect in light of the passing of former President James Earl Carter, Jr.

The United States flag shall be raised to full-staff for inauguration day to celebrate our country’s new leader; and

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and cause the Great Seal of the State of Nevada to be affixed at the State Capitol in Carson City, this 17th day of January, 2025. ./BackgroundImage/img/@alt
