HINDU HERITAGE MONTH IN NEVADA

WHEREAS, Hindu Heritage Month, celebrated annually in October, provides an opportunity to honor and recognize the achievements, traditions, and cultural contributions of Hindu Americans throughout history; and;

WHEREAS, our vibrant Hindu American community has contributed greatly to the vitality of Nevada by enriching the lives of our community; and;

WHEREAS, during the month of October, the culture, history, traditions, achievements, and contributions of Hindu Americans are recognized and celebrated throughout the United States and in Nevada; and;

WHEREAS, Nevada is a state that values diversity and a wide variety of cultural traditions and encourages its citizens to better understand, recognize, and celebrate the rich history and shared experiences of Hindu Americans; and;

WHEREAS, in every corner of our state, Hindu Americans have filled our communities with rich traditions and abundant culture, and the Silver State is proud to recognize their many social, cultural, and economic contributions to our state and nation during Hindu Heritage Month;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim
