Homeless Youth Awareness Month in Nevada

State of Nevada, Executive Department- A proclamation by the governor

WHEREAS, homeless youth are among the most vulnerable in our state, facing increased risks of exploitation, poor health outcomes, and limited opportunities for long-term stability; and;

WHEREAS, organizations across Nevada, including Eddy House in Reno and other youth-serving agencies statewide, provide critical services such as safe shelter, meals, case management, counseling, workforce development, and life skills training to help young people transition to independence; and;

WHEREAS, National Homeless Youth Awareness Month provides an important opportunity to increase public understanding, compassion, and collective action to prevent and end youth homelessness in Nevada; and;

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada is committed to working with community partners, local governments, and service providers to ensure all young people have access to stability, opportunity, and the support they need to thrive;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim November 2025 as

HOMELESS YOUTH AWARENESS MONTH IN NEVADA
