Proclamation Extending the Emergency for the Davis Wildfire

September 16–17, 2024 • 12:00 AM - 12:00 AM PT

WHEREAS, on September 8, 2024, I declared a state of emergency in Washoe County due to the Davis Fire; and;

WHEREAS, the Davis Fire has burned more than 5,800 acres, destroyed 18 structures, and continues to threaten multiple communities, as well as critical infrastructure within Washoe County; and;

WHEREAS, evacuations related to the Davis Fire remain ongoing.

NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the State of Nevada, I hereby extend the state of emergency in Washoe County for the Davis Fire through September 18, 2024.
