WHEREAS, Steve Ingersoll has been a member of the Operating Engineers Local 3 for 35 years; and;
WHEREAS, Steve Ingersoll has been a member of the Union staff for 27 years, 11 of those years being in a position of leadership culminating in his service as President; and;
WHEREAS, Steve Ingersoll has had a momentous impact for members of Local 3 in his home state of Nevada; and;
WHEREAS, Steve Ingersoll has ensured quality health care and retirement benefits for members of Local 3 in his role as Trustee; and;
WHEREAS, Operating Engineers Local 3 is the largest construction trades local in the nation with more than 40,000 members; and;
WHEREAS, Operating Engineers represents three thousand members and their families within Northern Nevada; and;
WHEREAS, Steve's friends and family are gathering to wish him a happy retirement on July 20, 2024;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim July 20, 2024, as a day in honor of
