TAMARA S. RAINS

WHEREAS, Tamara S. Rains has devoted more than 26 years of public service to the State of Nevada, retiring from the Secretary of State's Office, Commercial Recordings; and;

WHEREAS, Tamara joined State service in November 1996 at the Gaming Control Board, where for over 5 years she was instrumental as an Administrative Assistant. In 2002 she transferred to the Commercial Recordings Division of the Secretary of State where she held various positions and in March 2004 Tamara was promoted to supervisor; and;

WHEREAS, Tamara has led the transformation efforts for Commercial Recordings on 5 separate occasions. She has been instrumental in improving current business processes while defining the future business processes with the goal of meeting our constituents needs and in 2018 Tamara was promoted to underfill the Program Officer 1 position for Commercial Recordings; and;

WHEREAS, Tamara serves as a Program Officer 2 for Commercial Recordings and is described by her team as a dedicated servant leader committed to improving the lives of those she works with. She listens to understand and approaches issues with the intent to grow and develop the team as a mentor; and;

WHEREAS, Tamara's dedication to the State of Nevada extended to her community where she supported the March of Dimes Blue Jeans for Babies Campaign by coordinating fundraising events for many years. This selfless service increased her connection to the community and those she served; and;

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada commends Tamara on her outstanding tenure as a dedicated State of Nevada servant leader and joins her family, friends, and colleagues in extending sincere appreciation to her for her many years of dedicated service, with best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim June 2, 2023 as a day in honor of
