Veterans Day in Nevada

State of Nevada, Executive Department- A proclamation by the governor

WHEREAS, today we recognize, honor, and thank the men and women who have bravely served our country in the U.S. Armed Forces - the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, and Coast Guard as well as the civilian force of mariners who support our military, the U.S. Merchant Marine; and;

WHEREAS, nearly 219,000 veterans, more than 10,000 active-duty service members, and more than 6,000 members of the National Guard and Reserves, as well as their families call Nevada their "home"; and;

WHEREAS, we recognize the sacrifices every single person who chooses to wear our nation's uniform and their families make on our behalf and owe them a debt that we can never repay; and;

WHEREAS, we are fortunate to have many living heroes to celebrate today in Nevada, with the knowledge that some of America's warriors gave their lives in the defense of our nation and never made it back home; and;

WHEREAS, today, we give thanks to all veterans, for all they have done and all they continue to do in service to our community, our great state and great nation;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim November 11, 2025, as

VETERANS DAY IN NEVADA
